Welcome to Elementalists RPG!Elementalists RPG is a chat-room based role-play RPG. This means it’s conducted in chat rooms and while there’s no physical game to play, through creative role-playing a game is made. If your a fan of Dungeons and Dragons, your more than likely to be familiar with the concepts and enjoy this type of game. Oh, and be sure to check the Story every once in a while to see what's going on.
Updates: 5/30/07: Finally updated the Story: I finally updated the story section of the site to include our activity for the past few sessions. It was a lot of stuff but I crammed it all into one story section anyway. So sue me. Also, changed the dates and a lot of other stuff happening on the forums. Check it out. Enjoy. 5/20/07: A Good Day for Elementalists: We got in quite a few hours of play today, thankfully. I updated the "Story" section to include the day's activities (I divided it into two parts) and put a few more items up for sale in the shop (check the forums). Hope you all are enjoying it so far. 5/18/07 (P.M.): Updated Story and Upgraded Block: I put today's activities into story form and put them in the "Story" section of the site. During play today I noticed how impossible it was for any attack to be weak enough to block, while in my original design most attack other than really strong ones should be blockable. I changed the requirement for an attack to be too strong to block from 2x def to 4x def. 5/18/07(A.M.): Major Rules Reform: In my ever staining battle to balance Steel into the game BEFORE I start sending steel enemies (and our own resident steel player becomes active) I decided to make a major change to the rules. My reasoning was, none of you are going to want to play a game if a single Steel Elementalist can solo every enemy in the game. The following is copy and paste the appendix to the rules page, and I updated all the rules pages and the Attacks Page to incorporate the new system. I updated the character sheets, also, but if you don't want to fill out a new one just add a "skill" box under the other incremental stats (Str, Spd, Dex, Con, and Int). Broke Dex up into two stats: Dex and Skill. Dex is now a purely defensive stat, while Skill affects how well you wield a weapon and crit chance. 5/17/07: Storyline Update: I almost forgot that there's a small piece of storyline I need to introduce to you before our play session tommorow. Check the story section for "Elemental Control Team," its pretty important for understanding tommorow. Also, if you haven't done so, check out the "Time for Introductions" thread in the forums and post a little bit about your character. See ya tommorow. 5/15/07: Steel Nerf (sorry): Well, I was thinking of the balance of the game and I came to the same conclusion I've come up with every time I've thought about it: Steel is overpowered. So to nerf them a little, I added to the basic attacks page (the ones everyone can use) the disarm ability. When used right, this ability should keep Steel Elements at bay. Also, I reduced the base critical (for everyone) from a x3 modifier to a x2 (since steel will be critting a lot more than anyone else). I made a clarification on the Steel Page stating that Weapon Mastery I, II, and III only affect the basic Weapon Attack, not special weapon attacks like Weapon Rain (less of a debuff but a clarification that resolves some issues). Also made a few changes to earth abilities Earthen Armor and Grave. I would also like to note that a Introduction thread has been started on the forums, and if you have been rescued already, please introduce your character there in the manner of the first post. Ok, enjoy. 5/13/07: Tutorial Fun: Another day of successfully playing Elementalists. Every time we play we get a little better and learn what we're doing a little more. If you haven't created a character yet or have made one and haven't yet been rescued, you're going to want to do so soon. Added the day's activities to the story section. 5/12/07: Launched!: Ok, so we officially launched Elementalists today! Though all we managed to do was three rescues....becuase a lot of people weren't ready...assholes. Anyway, for those of you that missed it, or those of you curious, I put right-ups of the storyline today in the Story Section. Also, the shop is open for business. If you're interested, a little story explaining the shopkeeper is also in the story section. Enjoy. 5/05/07: Elementalists Site Launch: Launched the official Elementalists RPG site. This layout is only temporary, as JD is currently working on a new design as part of a school project, so expect a pretty new site over the next couple of weeks. But as far as functionality goes, this site has all the rules and all the info for the game, so it works for now. And make sure if you haven't already register for the Forums then please do. |
